Assam Police Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

For the Assam Police Recruitment 2023, candidates must pass a physical standard test or physical efficiency test. Those who pass the test will be asked further for the written exam. The evaluation of candidates will be based on their overall performance scores in all the 4 stages which are Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test(PET), Written Exam, NCC, Oral/Viva Voce. There will be total 110 marks including all these 4 stages.

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- 40 marks

Physical Standard Test

The Assam Police Physical Test is a qualification exam used to narrow down applicants for the next round of the recruitment process. Candidates will be summoned to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test after they have qualified their height, weight, and chest measurements for the Physical Standards Test (PST). As per norms the candidate’s weight should be in relation to their height and age. The following parameters are measured in a PST test.

Physical Efficiency Test

The Physical Efficiency Test will be given by only those candidates who pass the Physical Standard Test. For constable male applicants, the Physical Efficiency Test will be of 40 points and for constable female candidates it would be of 60 points. The following parameters are measured in a PET test.
