NEET PG 2023 Cut-off Reduced to Zero

MCC announced that the cut-off has been reduced to 0 from 291 for the general category , and 257 for the reserved category out of a total of 800 marks.

There is disagreement among applicants and medical organizations as a result of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) decreasing the qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2023 to zero across all categories on Wednesday. While MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, criticized the BJP-led Centre for acknowledging that the test has no value and nothing to do with merit.

According to information, the ministry’s decision has been praised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), and Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA). On the other hand, the commission’s notice has been opposed by the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA).

Recently, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) urged the Union Health Ministry to take the NEET-PG 2023 exam’s cut-off score into consideration. “Even after numerous rounds of NEET-PG counseling, we have seen a continuing problem in the shape of open seats at medical institutions across the country during the past few years. In their letter, FORDA stated that this issue is “of great concern to the healthcare system as well as to aspiring medical professionals who are eager to contribute to our country’s healthcare infrastructure.”

We respectfully suggest that you take this into consideration when deciding whether to lower the cut-off score for the NEET-PG exam in 2023, it stated.
Lowering the cut-off will allow a “larger number of eligible candidates to fill these vacant seats,” according to FORDA.
In a letter to Union Health Minister Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Indian Medical Association has also asked for a lowering in the NEET-PG 2023 cut-off percentile of up to 30% in order to fill the majority of seats in both clinical and non-clinical branches.
