CTET 2024: On November 3, 2023, CTET Notification 2024 was made available online at official website www.cet.nic.in. The CTET Exam is an eligibility test for teacher positions that is conducted in two stages, Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is intended for candidates who want to teach in Classes 1st to 5th, while Paper II is intended for candidates who want to teach in Classes 6th to 8th. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the CTET January 2024 Exam Notification on November 3, 2023, on its official website, https://ctet.nic.in. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is scheduled to hold the Central Teacher qualifying Test (CET) in January 2024. CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The Educational Qualification/Eligibility Criteria Required for Paper 1 and 2 is different which is given below one by one in detail.
CTET 2024 Primary Level (Class 1st to 5th) Eligibility
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
- Bachelor Degree Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher OR
- Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
CTET 2024 Junior Level (Class 6th to 8th) Eligibility
- Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Norms OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education) OR
- Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET. OR
- Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
CTET Syllabus 2024
- CTET Exam 2024 will occur in two phases, Paper 1 for Class 1st to 5th and Paper 2 for Class 6th to 8th.
- There will be total 150 questions in each paper and each question carry 1 mark.
- No negative marking will be there for any incorrect response.
- CTET Paper 1 will be based on NCERT Syllabus for classes 1st to 5th.
- CTET Paper 2 will be based on NCERT Syllabus for classes 6th to 8th.

- A new page will open, Candidates are advised to fill their detail correctly and then click submit button for the registration.
